Brief Biography
My interest in agriculture and pathology was sparked by corn smut in our backyard garden and a family active in gardening. My crop focus centered on soybeans because of my undergraduate job in nematology, largely with soybean cyst nematode. Experiences include investigating environmental effects on Phomopsis sp. viability in storage, managing phenotypic disease-screening programs and facilities, and developing commercial soybean varieties.
